Programme of Activities

 

We have an Interest Table which changes in relation to the Themes, Seasons and Festivals that we discuss in Pre-School each term. Each week a different alphabet sound/letter is chosen and we ask the children to bring in an item from home beginning with that sound. This encourages them to learn/think about the phonetic sounds of the alphabet in preparation for Infant School. Themes for the term and the letter/number of the week are displayed on notice boards.

Don't panic if you can't find anything at home beginning with our letter of the week! Rajen, the shopkeeper at Spires Convenience Stores knows all about our system and will happily help you find something to bring in! He has most things in stock but if you want anything special - just ask!
